USD Coin (USDC) is a "digital dollar" stablecoin pegged to the United States dollar managed by Centre, a consortium founded by Circle and includes members from Coinbase and Bitmain. USDC can be used over the internet and public blockchains and is intended to facilitate the use of dollars. With USDC, money can be transferred quickly, cheaply, and with more certainty than with traditional methods.
